New Beginnings - The Church after Christ's Ascension

New Hope on the Creeks

8:30a at our Pine Creek Site

9:20a Coffee Fellowship at both sites

10a at our Sand Creek Site

Having given his disciples final instructions, Jesus ascends into heaven with a promise to return. At the Pentecost festival, the Holy Spirit falls on the disciples, unleashing powerful ministry of the gospel in words and in deeds of healing. The disciples are transformed from fearful cowards to fearless preachers in the face of the religious leaders' persecution. The death of Stephen, the first martyr, is a catalyst for the spread of the message and the growth of the church. The Gentiles are welcomed into the fellowship of the church and are no longer "unclean," excluded from the membership in God's family.

  • Fire - Acts 2-5
  • Martyr and Missionaries - Acts 6-8
  • The Voice - Acts 9
  • The Hammer Falls - Acts 12

Blessed be the memory of

David Thomas Riegel, Child of God!

A Celebration of Life will take place at David and Paula’s home in New Auburn, WI, on Saturday, August 2nd starting at 1:00pm. All are welcome to join in honoring his memory and sharing in the love he brought into the world.

It is with deep sorrow and broken hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of David Thomas Riegel, age 34, who left us far too soon on July 9, 2025, at his home.

Dave was the beloved son of Kathleen and Thomas Riegel, and a loving brother to his sister, Trisha. On October 7, 2023, he married the love of his life, Paula, and together they shared a bond filled with love, laughter, and unwavering companionship. Their home was made even warmer by their two loyal dogs, Hank and Otis, who brought endless joy to their lives.

Dave had a true passion and love for the outdoors. Whether he was hunting, fishing, or spending hours in the woods, he felt most at peace surrounded by nature. He found joy in the honest, hard work of cutting wood, and he cherished all the hours spent working on tractors with his dad—sharing not just tools and grease-stained hands, but creating moments and lasting memories.

To know Dave was to love him. He was genuine, kind-hearted, and full of quiet strength. His presence made people feel safe, and his loyalty to those he loved ran deep. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Celebration of Life will take place at David and Paula’s home in New Auburn, WI, on Saturday, August 2nd starting at 1:00pm. All are welcome to join in honoring his memory and sharing in the love he brought into the world.

At last, God's patience with Israel is spent, and the northern kingdom falls to the Assyrian Empire, never to rise again. Judah illustrates what happens when God's people allow him to be their ally. Even the mightiet empire fall back before him! In Isaiah's prophecy, we see the clearest witness to the coming Messiah.

Sundays at New Hope

Church can be an intimidating place to come the first time — especially if you don’t know what to expect. We hope you'll come! You are welcome to participate fully, or as you wish. Be inspired by the music. Hear the Word. Get in touch with the spiritual. Come to the Table of Mercy. All are welcome at the Lord's Supper! We invite you to experience what the gospel - the good news of Jesus Christ - means at one of our services. You can engage with others and find places for your whole family to connect. Enjoy refreshments! We hope that through visiting with us, you will experience the hope, love, and joy that comes from a community of people who strive to walk in the footsteps of Jesus. You are welcome here!

    Worship

Let's Gather Together in Praise, and Leave as One to Serve!

    Authentic Worship

At New Hope, worship in the name and power of the Holy Trinity is central to everything. As we come we declare that there is a deeper side of life sometimes ignored by our culture. We make time to step away from the hectic pace of life to worship, recognizing God’s greater goodness and our need to come faithfully into the presence of God. Here, we respond with our acts of worship to this amazing grace.

    Pine Creek Site: 8:30a

    Sand Creek Site: 10:00a

    Teaching from the Bible

We believe that practical, relevant teaching is the catalyst for transformation in an individual's life. Scripture is inspired by God the Father, and as we reflect on God's word through the prism of Jesus Christ, we are transformed through the power of the Holy Spirit into God's likeness. It is a lifelong journey, and ultimately we rest in God's grace.
